Cyprus born Marios Papadopoulos began his career as a musician as early as seven years old. Papadopoulos plays the piano, whistle, duduk, harmonica, and ney (a Turkish woodwind instrument), and has studied harmony, theory and fugue and counterpoint. A 2004 composition for Greece’s Universal Records Company reached the top 5 on radio. Subsequent to this success, he studied musicology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and achieved a Masters in Composition of Music for Film and Television at the UK’s University of Bristol. Papadopoulos specialises in composing music for film, documentaries, trailers and soundtracks.
