People, Places and Things

Denise Gough reprises her Olivier Award-winning role as Emma, a struggling actress whose life is spinning recklessly out of control. Gough’s ‘explosive and fearless performance’ (Hollywood Reporter) in People, Places & Things has garnered acclaim in London and New York, with critics hailing her performance as ‘stunning’ (Time Out), ‘ingenious’ (The New York Times) and ‘unmissable’ (Evening Standard).

Emma was having the time of her life. Now she’s in rehab. Her first step is to admit that she has a problem. But the problem isn’t with Emma, it’s with everything else. She needs to tell the truth. But she’s smart enough to know that there’s no such thing. When intoxication feels like the only way to survive the modern world, how can she ever sober up?

Don’t miss Denise Gough in People, Places & Things at the Trafalgar Theatre.

Strictly limited 14-week season begins 3rd May.

The Grade II listed Trafalgar Theatre in London’s West End, formerly known as Trafalgar Studios, is the result of a major multi-million pound restoration project. Reinstating the venue back to its original design to show off its spectacular auditorium once again, the theatre boasts brand new seating, bar and spacious foyer.

The Trafalgar Theatre opened in 1930 as the Whitehall Theatre and has retained its recognisable Art Deco style exterior ever since. In 1997 it became a television and radio studio, broadcasting BBC Radio 4 shows. Now a thriving theatre once again, it’s home to the hit West End show, Jersey Boys.
