Birmingham’s beloved theatre, The Alexandra, was built in 1901 by William Coutts and throughout its vast history, has become home to first class entertainment.
In 2018, the venue underwent an extensive refurbishment and reverted to its original name, The Alexandra. The theatre is a valuable contributor to culture within Birmingham and the West Midlands, presenting first-rate musicals, drama, comedy and more.

COFFEE, CAKE & CADENZAS
Join us in our Piano Bar for Coffee, Cake and Cadenzas - our chamber concert series given by students from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Expect beautiful programmes for one hour at 1pm on the first Friday of the month, completely free of charge.

We offer a range of access facilities including induction loop necklace, headsets and wheelchair spaces and programme a variety of accessible performances (Signed, Captioned, Relaxed, Audio Described and Touch Tours).

Stage Experience
Stage Experience is open to anyone aged 9-24 able to commit two weeks of their summer holiday to putting on a musical! Plus, if you’re aged 16-24 there’s opportunities to join the technical team backstage. Participants will work with industry professionals to put on a production in just a fortnight!
