Sunderland Empire
This year, award-winning Clive John pays homage to the Man in Black, with a brand new updated show featuring the legendary 'June Carter' (Meghan Thomas), the Roadshow Horns, and (on selected shows) the 'Carter Sisters'.
Along with favourites such as Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Get Rhythm, Orange Blossom Special and A Boy Named Sue, the show digs deeper into the Cash catalogue to bring you songs from his acclaimed 'American Recordings' (The Man Comes Around, Hurt) and other rarities and surprises.
Absolutely authentic to the point where it felt as if it wasn't a tribute.- Caitlin Crowell, granddaughter of Johnny Cash
Clive sings moves and acts just like the 'Man in Black.' The Johnny Cash legend will continue....- Lasse Lindfors, author and lifelong friend of Johnny Cash
This year's Roadshow is an exciting and emotional journey through Cash's entire career and a fantastic evening's entertainment.
With standing ovations every night, The Johnny Cash Roadshow is the biggest and best celebration of Johnny Cash in the world today. It's guaranteed to leave you wanting more.

Sunderland Empire
Vesta Tilley laid the foundation stone of what is now the Sunderland Empire on 29 September 1906 and took to the stage on 1 July 1907 to officially declare the theatre open. Masterminded by two of the contemporary heads of British theatre, Edward Moss and Osward Stoll, the Sunderland Empire Theatre has undergone many changes since it opened but remains the North East’s premier entertainment venue.
