This one-woman storytelling performance introduces the modern-day woman to the women of York who walked before her, reminding her she will never walk alone.

A performance influenced by modern custom of ‘dancing the sun up’ by Morris dancers in England and around the world, it involves costume, sound and movement.

‘Rabbit’ by Foxglove Theatre

Excerpt on a new play that encourages the audience to identify and reflect on how we each treat our own inner-child and mental health.

Not originally intended to be a theatre, the buildings that comprise the Grand Opera House York officially opened in 1902 with Little Red Riding Hood starring Florrie Ford. Since then it has been owned by FJ Butterworth, the Shepherd of Shambles and the India Pru Co. Ltd who spent £4,000,000 restoring the theatre to its former glory in 1987.
