Based on the real Horseback Librarians of Kentucky The Giver of Stars tells the fictional account of five extraordinary women who are brought together in a tiny community in the mountains of rural America.  Big, bold, funny and sad – Jojo takes us to the heart of this group of women and we experience their friendship, their heartbreak and their astonishing bravery.

Jojo Moyes

Jojo says “Society frames women as competitors rather than champions of one another and this isn’t the experience of most of the women I know. The Giver of Stars aims to celebrate these relationships.”

Do not miss this opportunity to join this bestselling novelist to celebrate the publication of her new book. Interviewed live on stage, Jojo will explore how it felt to step away from her beloved characters from the global phenomenon that is her Me Before You trilogy to write this breath-taking new piece of standalone fiction.

Jojo’s novels have been translated into forty-six languages, have hit the number one spot in twelve countries and have sold over thirty-eight million copies worldwide. This is your chance to spend an evening with one of most successful novelists of the 21st century.

Copies of The Giver of Stars will be on sale after the events, and Jojo will be doing a book signing.

The Palace Theatre of Varieties opened on Whit Monday 1891 and cost its owners the then colossal sum of £40,500. In the late 1970’s the Palace Theatre underwent a major refurbishment and re-opened in 1981 with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar and has since then retained its position as the premier provincial touring venue.
