Aladdin

This year at Richmond Theatre Suzanne Shaw will be making all your Christmas wishes come true when she stars as The Genie in our sparkling production of Aladdin, the family friendly festive adventure with laughter by the lamp load! Richmond favourite Tim Vine will be back by popular demand this year, starring alongside Suzanne in the role of Wishee Washee.

Completing the casting for this magical production will be Nickelodeon favourite Helena Dowling as Princess Jasmine, 'Dreamboat' Gareth Leighton as the title role of Aladdin, and a familiar face from last year’s Cinderella Graham Hoadly appearing as Widow Twanky.

So don’t miss out on this spectacular journey to the mystical world of the Far East. Rub the magic lamp, enter the cave of wonders and be transported on a magic carpet ride into a fun, fairytale world. Aladdin is guaranteed to delight the whole family with all the stunning sets, glittering costumes, wonderful songs and dazzling dancing that audiences have come to expect from a Richmond Theatre pantomime, topped off with plenty of laughter and audience participation.

Book your tickets now for the show that promises to be pure panto genie-us!

Please note the 7pm performance on Monday 7 January 2013 is a Relaxed Performance. Relaxed performances are designed to benefit those with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, as well as other patrons who may find the experience of visiting a theatre daunting. The atmosphere in the auditorium will be relaxed; in particular the making of noises (both involuntary or otherwise) during the performance will not be discouraged. There are likely to be some small changes to the show, in terms of lighting and sound cues, but the overall content of show will not change. A “chill-out room” will be provided for those who may become overwhelmed by the performance, and “Visual Stories” (detailed information and photos) of both the theatre and the show will be sent to all bookers in advance.

For more information on the Relaxed Performance Pilot Scheme, click here.
