Stephen Moore Overview

Stephen Moore is and English stage and screen actor best known for his voice role as Marvin the Paranoid Android in Douglas Adams The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (1981) and for his performances with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

On stage his more notable roles have included his portrayal of Hector in the West End revival of The History Boys, as Parolles in All’s Well that Ends Well as both with the Royal Shakespeare Company and on Broadway, where he was nominated for a Tony. Stephen has also appeared in The Hothouse, Bedroom Farce, and Twelfth Night.

Stephen’s screen credits include the role of George Mole in the Adrian Mole series (1985-1987), the father of grumpy teenager Kevin in Harry Enfield and Chums (1997), Arthur in The Queen’s Nose (1995-2001). He has also enjoyed guest appearances in Lovejoy, The Bill, Drop the Dead Donkey and Doctor Who.
