Nova Cinema

Nova Cinema is dedicated to delivering a rich tapestry of cinematic experiences, ensuring a galaxy of memories for audiences of all ages. From the latest blockbuster hits that leave you on the edge of your seat to timeless classics that evoke nostalgia, Nova Cinema is where the enchantment of film comes to life. Nova Cinema has seven stylish screens, including one luxury screen, an elegant full-service bar, and a cutting-edge media suite for community and business hire. The best in cinematic technology has been installed in Screen One with state-of-the-art laser projection and top-of-the-range Dolby ATMOS surround sound for extra immersion. Plus, the foyer has plenty of space to relax and grab a bite before or after the film.

Getting around

Access parking

Parking is available in the Peacocks shopping centre car parks. Stair-free access is available from all levels. Nova Cinema is located on Level 1 of the Peacocks centre.

Step free access and wheelchairs
We have stair-free access throughout all our foyers, corridors. Lifts also provide access to all three levels of the venue and all Nova Cinema staircases are fitted with supportive handrails. Each of our seven screens have allocated wheelchair spaces. Advance booking is recommended.
We have two wheelchair spaces located in each of our screens. These are positioned at the front with stair-free access in screens 1-6 and in the back row of Screen 7.
Accessible toilets
Fully accessible toilets can be found on each level of the cinema. We also have a new Changing Spaces facility which is located on the ground floor near screen 2 & 3. It is accessible using a RADAR key; please ask a member of staff if you would like to use it. It has the following features:
· A height-adjustable, adult-sized changing couch
· A ceiling track hoist system. This is a Multicare GH1 hoist with a weight limit of up to 200kg, using a loop sling; please note we do not provide a sling.
· Adequate space in the changing area for a wheelchair user and up to two assistants
· A toilet with space either side for assistants and drop-down handrails at the side
· A privacy screen
· A height adjustable basin for handwashing with pump soap.
· Wide tear-off paper roll to cover the bench
· A large waste bin for disposable pads
· A non-slip floor
The changing couch has a shower attachment and drain within the couch itself; please note the shower cannot be used without the couch as there is no drain in the floor.
The toilet has wash/dry functions, with buttons on the side of the toilet itself to operate. A remote is also available if you prefer; please ask a member of our team for the remote and they will collect it for you.
Assistance dogs

We welcome assistance dogs in all areas of the venue. Assistance Dogs can be looked after by the cinema staff during a screening if requested in advance or on arrival. If you would like your dog to stay with you, please contact us so we can ensure your seats are suitable. Please check the film information for any content warnings.

Enjoying the show

Seat dimensions

The space between the armrests is 44cm/17 inches. The armrests are static. The only free-standing seats without armrests are in the Boxes in the Dress Circle and Platforms in the Upper Circle (these are all restricted view seats).

Services for blind, partially sighted or otherwise visually impaired audiences
Audio Description (AD) 
The wireless audio system, delivered via a small receiver pack, offers an audio-descriptive track both through headphones.
Services for D/deaf and hard of hearing audiences
Dolby Captiview (CC) 
This closed captioned system offers the option of personal subtitles without the need to come to a specific subtitled screening. This technology will work from any seat in all of our seven screens.
Subtitled Screenings (SUB)
Specific subtitled screenings are also part of our programme.
