Lightroom
Lightroom is the home of artist-led storytelling. Working hand-in-hand with the greatest artistic talents across art, music, film, fashion, science and more, Lightroom has reimagined what an immersive experience can look like. Lightroom have painted the world with David Hockney, flown to space with Tom Hanks and strutted the runway with Vogue. Currently, we’re transporting audiences back 66 million years into a dinosaur’s world for Prehistoric Planet: Discovering Dinosaurs. Exciting new projects are also in the works.
We believe that the joy of live performances should be accessible to all, and we're committed to removing barriers so everyone can enjoy entertainment in a comfortable, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
Getting around
There is level access to the building with lift facilities to all levels. An accessible toilet is available on all 3 levels. There are stairs into and out of the show space.
Lightroom is fully accessible for wheelchair users, with level entry and lift access to all floors.
You can borrow a wheelchair from us to use during your visit. To arrange for a wheelchair hire, please email at [email protected] before your visit. These are subject to availability and need to be requested in advance. We have Access Hosts at the venue who will be happy to support you with any specific needs you may have.
Lightroom has a Calm Space available. This is a facility for anyone who might like somewhere to decompress, pray, feed or calm a child. Please ask a Front of House Team Member who can direct you there.
We offer ear defenders for babies, children, and adults to use during their visit. Ear defenders are available upon request and are subject to availability. We also have an assisted listening system available upon request.
Enjoying the show
BSL
Lightroom offer British Sign Language (BSL) showings of Lightroom shows. BSL is incorporated into the show as well as enhanced subtitles. The BSL elements feature across all four walls, allowing guests to enjoy the full immersive experience.
Relaxed Showings
These showings are intended for people who would enjoy the Lightroom experience but may find noise and lack of lighting overwhelming.
To help with these aspects, the house lights will be switched on at low level during the show, and the show volume will be reduced. Turning on the house lights will also slightly reduce the amount of contrast in the projections. Entry and re-entry is allowed via all doors, and a quiet calm space is available for those who need to use it.
