Apollo Theatre
Having first opened its doors in February 1901, the beautifully restored Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue has showcased a wide range of critically received productions during its history including award-winning plays, musicals, dramas and comedies.
We believe that the joy of live performances should be accessible to all, and we're committed to removing barriers so everyone can enjoy entertainment in a comfortable, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
Getting around
Wheelchair user access is provided using a platform lift to the Stalls. The dimensions of the lift are 100 cm x 80 cm, with a maximum weight load of 300kg. Please note that any scooter or wheelchair that have extremities outside of these dimensions fill not fit on the platform lift. Please report to the main entrance on arrival and a member of staff will accompany you to the wheelchair access entrance. Our wheelchair park locations are provided in Q1 and Q22 of the stalls, which can be removed to provide spaces.
There is a fully adapted unisex toilet in the Stalls. There are Ladies and Gentlemen’s toilets on all levels, except the Dress Circle.
Our access host will happily advise and guide should you require help.
Assistance dogs are welcome. For comfort we recommend purchasing a seat on the end of a row. Alternatively we provide a dog sitting service for 2 dogs at a time; advance booking is recommended.
