Step Free Access and Wheelchairs

Street level access is via Lime Street, through into the foyer, with level access into the auditorium at both sides of the stalls. The rest of the auditorium has step access. The building features wide doors, and additional toilet facilities for disabled people. One front of house lift provides access to the circle and one lift provides access to the stalls bar toilets, with appropriate seating positions available on all levels.

There are sixteen wheelchair spaces available in the auditorium. 12 of these can be found in Row U of the stalls and the remaining four, in Row G in the Circle. There is lift access to Row G in the Circle and street level access to Row U in the stalls. Some of the companion seats in Stalls row U are located in front of the wheelchair spaces. If you need to be sat in a chair adjacent to your companion, we would recommend the wheelchair seats in row G of the Circle.

All bars are accessible for all customers or ask us for At Seat Service when you arrive.

Our seats are 19 inches wide from arm rest to arm rest.

Accessible Toilets - There are public toilets on all levels of the theatre. There are separate accessible toilets on the ground floor and second floor of theatre. There is also another accessible toilet on the lower ground floor with access from the stalls. There is an emergency pull cord in all accessible toilets should you need assistance from a member of staff. Baby changing facilities are located in the accessible toilet on the second floor and ladies toilets on the lower ground floor stalls bar.

Access Performances - All upcoming Audio Described, Captioned, BSL Interpreted and Relaxed performances are listed on our Assisted Performances page.

Visual Impairment Services - Information about our venue’s audio description, touch tours and other visual services can be found on our Visual Impairment Services page. We recommend seats in the AA-DD area for customers who require a closer view of the stage. Touch Tours may also be available to accompany Audio Described performances. This will be advertised on the website or brochure page for each show.

Hearing Impairment Services - Information about our venue’s hearing enhancement systems, signed performances and other hearing services can be found on our Hearing Impairment Services page. The signal for the hearing loop will work best in the centre stalls area. If you have any issues, please speak to a member of staff.

Assistance Dogs - Assistant dogs are welcome and can be looked after by the theatre staff during the performance if requested in advance or on arrival. If you would like your dog to stay with you, please contact us so we can ensure your seats have suitable space for your dog. Please also check the show information for any trigger warnings.
