Tonight, in a special two part concert, the MMF Merton Youth Concert Band presents an uplifting programme of well-known film and popular music favourites. Watch and listen as Merton’s young musicians perform live on one of London’s biggest stages.

Act two showcases MMF’s young jazz musicians (the Jazz Jumpers, Jazz Works, Merton Messengers and Merton Youth Jazz Orchestra), playing an independent set, then performing the music of Charles Mingus alongside the Blues and Roots Ensemble (BARE).
Led by double bassist and MMF alumni Ed Babar, BARE is a diverse nonet of top international musicians from South Africa to Sicily, India to Cuba, and has quickly grown a reputation for its captivating and raucous performances, as well as new initiatives in creative teaching. Drummer Flavio Livigni and djembe specialist Lilia Iontcheva are also both former MMF students.
The talent on-stage will astound you!
