Award winning artist Peter Keegan was the first Artist in Residence at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre and in 2024 he returns to the Norman Bragg studio where he will transform it into a working art studio, running new and engaging art workshops. All workshops are suitable for all abilities (even complete beginners) as full structured guidance will be provided along with all art materials.
Learn to Draw Portraits - Learn the art of portrait drawing in this structured and insightful workshop. You will work in both pencil and charcoal working from excellent photographic references, covering how to start a portrait, making your drawing look three-dimensional and drawing facial features. All materials provided, suitable for all abilities.
Timings for workshops are 10am - 4pm with a break for lunch and tea/coffee breaks. Doors open at the front of the theatre from 9:30am. Tea and coffee provided (please bring your own lunch).

Norman Bragg Studio hosts a programme of intimate productions and events throughout the year including a monthly Comedy Club, regular screenings, Bring Your Own Baby Comedy and small scale shows and live music gigs. The Studio is easily accessible with a bar selling a range of light refreshments and facilities available within easy reach.
One of the venue’s hireable spaces, the Norman Bragg Studio is licensed for wedding ceremonies and ideal for accommodating conferences, exhibitions, dinners and private events.
