Tuesday 24th October - Puppetry Masterclass: Explore the world of puppetry with an industry professional; making puppets and developing puppetry performance skills.
Wednesday 25th October - Show in a Day: Join us to create a mini version of a West End musical theatre classic with all of the singing, acting and dancing we can pack into one day!
Thursday 26th October - Halloween Hocus Pocus: In this spook-filled day, learn about the ghosts of The Empire and create spooky characters and performances. Fancy dress optional but definitely encouraged!

Vesta Tilley laid the foundation stone of what is now the Sunderland Empire on 29 September 1906 and took to the stage on 1 July 1907 to officially declare the theatre open. Masterminded by two of the contemporary heads of British theatre, Edward Moss and Oswald Stoll, the Sunderland Empire Theatre has undergone many changes since it opened but remains the North East’s premier entertainment venue.
