For over 30 years, Cardboard Citizens has harnessed the power of theatre and storytelling to change the narrative of homelessness and poverty for individuals and society. More Than One Story is the company’s first anthology: a ground-breaking collection of new writing from 37 emerging and established writers with lived experience of homelessness, poverty and inequity from across the UK.
With homelessness and poverty rising and a widening gap between lived realities and perceptions, More Than One Story shines a light on the resilience, hope, rage and humour that makes these narratives nuanced and complex. Featuring original pieces from Malorie Blackman, Chris Bush, Kayleigh Llewellyn, Michelle De Swarte, Inua Ellams, Matilda Feyisayo Ibini, Joelle Taylor, alongside new works from a national open call - with a foreword by BAFTA award-winning actor, Michael Sheen.
On the night, Rory Kinnear will be joined by Sara Pascoe, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Paterson Joseph, Daisy Lewis, Shon Faye, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Nabhaan Rizwan, Nicôle Lecky, Josh Tedeku, Laura Checkley, Arthur Darvill, Danusia Samal and Liam Williams, with live music from artist Tom Rasmussen. Together with Cardboard Citizens Members, they will share the stage for an evening of readings and music - offering a first chance to experience these powerful monologues performed live.

Trafalgar Theatre
The Grade II listed Trafalgar Theatre in London’s West End, formerly known as Trafalgar Studios, is the result of a major multi-million pound restoration project. Reinstating the venue back to its original design to show off its spectacular auditorium once again, the theatre boasts brand new seating, bar and spacious foyer.
The Trafalgar Theatre opened in 1930 as the Whitehall Theatre and has retained its recognisable Art Deco style exterior ever since. In 1997 it became a television and radio studio, broadcasting BBC Radio 4 shows. Now a thriving theatre once again, it’s home to the hit West End show, People, Places and Things.
