Fuelled by a vision of inclusivity and self-expression, Ailey established a haven for dancers of all backgrounds, birthing the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The iconic masterwork, Revelations, woven with the threads of African American heritage remains a testament to resilience and triumph over adversity.
