We are recruiting our next cohort of Edinburgh Playhouse Young Ambassador’s for young people aged 14-18 years old and we would love you to reapply for the role. This is a year long experience where we are looking for people interested in different forms of theatre, job roles and experiences. We love having young voices at the heart of what we do and as a young ambassador you can join us to represent all things Edinburgh Playhouse and get the chance to take part in exclusive access to careers in theatre, backstage, dress rehearsals and the chance to meet some of the creatives behind our upcoming shows. Last year we experienced a technical insights days with Moulin Rouge, exclusive education day and live performance with Hamilton, special effects make up design workshop based on Rocky Horror and a performance workshops with Billie Kerr who played Queen Katherine of Aragon in SIX the musical.

"Being a Young Ambassador has truly been a dream come true! I've had the chance to meet so many amazing people from different backgrounds who all share the same passion as I do. I’ve also taken part in incredible, once-in-a-lifetime workshops led by industry professionals. There’s honestly nothing else out there like this. This experience has meant so much to me, especially since I’ve been coming to the Playhouse ever since I was little." – Participant

This year-long project aims to give young people the tools, skills and understanding of all aspects of theatre to help them with future careers and interests. In turn our Young Ambassadors will share their ideas and help shape future projects. Workshops will be held on Saturday mornings and school holidays from Apr 2026 – Mar 2027.  Please note this opportunity is in extremely high demand and we will not be able to offer everyone a place on the programme.
