Wednesday Addams, the world famous princess of darkness, is now eighteen and, to her family's horror, has fallen in love with a smart, charming young man from a respectable Ohio family—Lucas Beineke. Worse, Wednesday has secretly invited Lucas and his parents, Mal and Alice, over for dinner.

Morticia and Gomez, desperate to maintain their macabre traditions, reluctantly agree to One Normal Night for Wednesday's sake. What ensues is a catastrophic, star-crossed evening featuring a spectacular score and a host of beloved, well known characters.
