When a tornado hits Kansas, young Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland) and her dog Toto are whisked away to the magical Land of Oz. As she journeys down the Yellow Brick Road to see the Wizard and find her way home, Dorothy befriends the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger), Tin Man (Jack Haley), and Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr), hoping the Wizard can grant their wishes too.
