Luke Friend will join the cast as Willard in Torquay. In 2013 he placed third on the UK’s ITV show ‘X Factor’ and went on to work with RCA and BMG records, releasing chart topping music with them over the years. Luke originated the role of Willard in Zurich earlier this year and recently finished touring as St. Jimmy in the UK and NZ 10th Anniversary Tour of American Idiot.

The Princess Theatre, Torquay first opened its doors on Wednesday 7 June 1961 with Tommy Cooper and Morecombe & Wise top of the bill. It’s South Devon’s largest theatre with a seating capacity of 1514 after an auditorium refurbishment in Spring 2024.
