This device amplifies sound through ear-pieces similar to regular headphones. Suitable for persons without a hearing aid.
To access the infrared system please request receiving equipment from Box Office on the day of the show. We do ask that these be returned after the show to a member of our Front of House staff.
Guide, hearing and other working dogs are welcome in all parts of the theatre. If you wish to bring your guide or hearing dog to the theatre, please advise the Box Office when booking your tickets. Your dog is welcome to sit with you in the auditorium however please note that some shows include special effects, e.g. strobe lighting, smoke, pyrotechnics and loud bangs. Alternatively we can organise for a member of staff to care for your dog during the performance and to provide them with some drinking water.

From Mon 16 May – Wed 15 Jun 2016 road works will be taking place outside the New Alexandra Theatre and surrounding streets including; Suffolk Street Queensway, Station Street, John Bright Street and on the approach to the NCP New Street Car Park located on St. Jude’s Passage. Traffic will be heavier than usual during this time, therefore we recommend allowing additional time for your journey to and from the theatre. Further details can be obtained from Highways England.
Major transformation works are happening throughout Birmingham City Centre with a number of road closures and diversions in place until 2025. Please allow additional time for your journey to the theatre and check with the Highways agency website when planning your visit.
A limited number of booster seats are available to hire from the Concierge desk, located in the main theatre foyer.
A £6 deposit will be taken, with a refund of £5 issued upon return of the booster seat.
