King's Theatre, Glasgow

One of Scotland’s most historic and significant theatres, King’s Theatre Glasgow opened in 1904 and has played host to top stars and shows ever since.

Well known for its Christmas pantomimes, it also provides Glasgow’s flourishing amateur groups with a high-profile stage. The theatre continues to present first class shows today from a wide range of genres.

Opening Hours
The Box Office is open for 90 minutes prior to the performance commencing. See 'What's On' section for performance times. The King's Theatre, Glasgow is cashless in Box Office, all our bars, kiosks and for merchandise.

Security

ATG continues to make the safety and security of its customers and staff a priority. As such, please bear in mind that we may undertake bag checks, so recommend you leave extra time to avoid queues, and refrain from bringing suitcases, rucksacks and large bags into the Theatre. Please note than any alcohol and/or unsealed bottles containing liquid will not be permitted into the theatre. --- Under 16s: All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and be supervised at all times. There must be 1 adult for every 10 children. Children (aged 18 months to 15 years inclusive) require their own ticket and seat. Children under 18 months can sit on your lap. However, please note that children under 5 years will only be admitted to shows they may attend (children's shows and panto) and we may ask for proof of age. This is for you and your child's safety in the venue. If you are not sure if the show is suitable for your child, please check the show page of our website or call us.

Booking Information - Join our Access Membership Scheme to enable online booking for accessible seats, register for any available Access concessions and, for certain customers, reserve Personal Assistant tickets. Access Parking - There are on street disabled bays. The Charing Cross Multi-storey car park is a few minute's walk away and also has disabled parking.

Step Free Access and Wheelchairs

Please note this theatre does not have a lift.

We have step-free access via our Elmbank Street entrance. If the door is not open upon arrival, please press the buzzer and an usher will attend. If you require step-free access, please book seats in any area of the stalls. Please be aware there is a steep downward slope between rows A - K.

We have 5 wheelchair positions at the rear of the stalls, and J36 and 37, K36 and 37, M36 and 37 seats in the stalls are suitable if you wish to transfer to a theatre seat.

Access to the stalls bar is step free or ask us for At Seat Service when you arrive. QR codes for our At Seat service are on the back of all seats.

Seat Width - The seats at King's Theatre Glasgow are 16-17 inches wide on average. Please contact [email protected] if you wish to discuss further.

Accessible Toilets - This is located behind the stalls auditorium next to our accessible entrance on Elmbank Street.

Access Performances - All upcoming Audio Described, Captioned, BSL Interpreted and Relaxed performances are listed on our Assisted Performances page.

Visual Impairment Services - Information about our venue’s audio description, touch tours and other visual services can be found on our Visual Impairment Services page. We recommend seats in the front stalls for customers who require a closer view of the stage. For Audio Described shows you can sit in any area in the auditorium. Touch Tours may also be available to accompany Audio Described performances; this will be advertised on the web or brochure page for each show.

Hearing Impairment Services - Information about our venue’s hearing enhancement systems, signed performances and other hearing services can be found on our Hearing Impairment Services page. Our venue has an Infra Red system. Please speak to any of our ushers upon arrival for a headset. These can be used with your own headphones or with ones we can provide. You can use this system in any seats in our auditorium. For Captioned performances, we recommend seats in centre stalls or grand circle.
