Bringing the very best of world class folk and acoustic music to Teesside, this year we are celebrating the talents and sounds of the genre with a full Scottish line up.

Tees Folk 2024

Award winning trio Lau will headline the evening, bringing together acoustic folk tradition and post-rock electronics. Band member Kris Drever is no stranger to Tees Folk audiences after performing an incredible solo set in 2023 – he is now returning to the Globe with his folk superstar group in tow.

Richly celebrated Scottish folk singer and songwriter Siobhan Miller will take to the stage with her six-piece band to make their Tees Folk debut. Siobhan brings a unique vocal style that balances a love of traditional song with modern influences, which is sure to be adored by the Teesside audience.

After delighting the crowd at last year’s afterparty, Glasgow-based quartet Gnoss return to the main stage with their livewire instrumental sets. Their signature sound is a rich tapestry of acoustic layers; outstanding musicianship, deep traditional roots and contemporary compositional flair combining to create songs and tunes brimming with character.

Completing the bill is Hannah Rarity, winner of the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2018. Performing a carefully chosen mix of traditional, contemporary and self-penned material, she earns comparisons to the likes of Eva Cassidy and Cara Dillon, whilst standing confidently in her own right.

Hannah Rarity 17:45-18:25

Gnoss 18:40-19:35

Siobhan Miller Band 19:55-20:55

LAU 21:15-22:30

After the main event, join us for a FREE afterparty in The LINK to round off what promises to be another incredible evening of Tees Folk.
