Kate has worked for over 15 years in the film, TV and theatre industries as a Theatrical and Special Effects Makeup Artist, working with directors and producers on hundreds of different productions across the UK and Europe. She works regularly with Crossroads Pantomimes preparing the Panto stars each year in theatre for their media launches, which is always a fun time of year! Kate is known for her love of horror FX and brings her own unique take on horror to her family-friendly workshops!

Using a highly imaginative visual approach to her workshops, Kate has had continued success over many years working with young people in schools, colleges and theatres, allowing students of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds to engage in and explore this unique subject. Kate’s Special FX sessions encourage participants to express their imagination and curiosity, whilst allowing them to explore this diverse film and theatre subject in a fun, exciting and safe environment!

Using safe, skin friendly and washable products, Kate will guide the group through a step by step approach to creating and applying “casualty” style special effects, using products that can easily be re-created at home.

We do not want cost to be prohibitive to attending this event. If you have concerns, we may be able to help. Please contact us on: [email protected] for more information.
