See the show Time Out rated one of 2019’s 50 Great Nights Out in London that has played to sell-out audiences across the UK and Australia.

You’ll be swept away with Jessica Fletcher feels … it has the BEST HOST.

It didn’t take long for Benzie to have the audience in stitches and he had the whole crowd in the palm of his hand the entire evening.

What the critics say

I’d challenge anyone to sit through this show and not get utterly invested in figuring out whodunit, whilst smiling at the comfort that this 80’s drama brings

The Box Office only opens on a day when there is a show in the venue, 90 minutes prior to performances.
Our café-bar The Princess Bistro is open throughout the day and into the evening on performance nights and serves everything from a warming coffee and home-made cake on a cold winter’s morning to a full three course meal, or a cool glass of wine in the evening sunshine before heading into the show.
We have a function room with stunning views overlooking Torbay and Torquay Marina and have a selection of party catering packages available. Please call us for more information or to book a table for your pre-theatre meal 01803 206380.
There is no cloakroom at this venue.

The Princess Theatre first opened its doors on Wednesday 7 June 1961. Top of the bill on the opening night were the late, great Tommy Cooper and the legendary Morecombe & Wise.  In 1963 The Beatles appeared live on stage singing the then newly released single “She Loves You” causing some hysteria in the town!

The Princess Theatre is South Devon’s largest theatre with a seating capacity of 1,491.  Big musical productions that have thrilled our audiences include Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Chicago, Starlight Express, Rocky Horror, Cats, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Icons of the stage and screen Sir Roger Moore, Elaine Page, Joan Collins and the beloved Joan Rivers, have also graced our stage. Comedians Jimmy Carr, Alan Carr and Dawn French have performed here too and chart toppers Mumford & Sons, Jamie Cullum and Ronan Keating have included the theatre on their UK tours.
