York legend Berwick Kaler returns with all of the gang for his hilarious take on the classic story of the sailor from York who finds himself marooned on a desert island, but he’s not alone! 

Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates of the River Ouse

Joining him will be Martin Barrass, Suzy Cooper, AJ Powell, and David Leonard.

Galleons of laughter are guaranteed in this sea-faring tale. A captivating tale of magic, mayhem and misunderstandings live on York’s famous stage.

Berwick Kaler’s panto is a York tradition, a must-see laugh-a-minute extravaganza with stunning sets, fabulous costumes and amazing effects to keep audiences both young and old entertained.

Not originally intended to be a theatre, the buildings that comprise the Grand Opera House York officially opened in 1902 with Little Red Riding Hood starring Florrie Ford. Since then it has been owned by FJ Butterworth, the Shepherd of Shambles and the India Pru Co. Ltd who spent £4,000,000 restoring the theatre to its former glory in 1987.
