Production shot

Born on 28th May 1990, Nathan Carter spent his childhood years in Liverpool, England. He had strong Irish influences from the very start since his family roots were in Newry, Co. Down.

From his earliest years it was obvious Nathan was a boy born to perform. At the tender age of four, he learned to play the piano accordion. He was also a gifted singer. In a few short years he had become head chorister in The Liverpool Boys’ Choir.

He became a consummate performer making trips to Ireland to compete in music competitions (known as a Fleadh Cheoil). These became a regular feature of Nathan`s life during his teenage years.  He won All-Ireland medals for solo singing and piano accordion when he was just 12 years old.

His love of traditional Irish music led to Nathan becoming a member of the Liverpool Ceili band, playing piano and piano accordion. It was a natural progression for this gifted performer to develop a thriving solo career around Liverpool, London and eventually further afield in Ireland.

Success led to Nathan moving to Ireland to follow his dream of becoming a professional entertainer in January 2010. His career took off almost immediately. Single-handedly he revived the live music scene in Ireland attracting young fans in their thousands.

Nathan has recorded six number one albums in Ireland and has had a top 20 UK album release with the CD Beautiful LifeNathan’s latest  album The Best of the First Ten Years released  in November 2020 went straight to Number One in the Irish Album Charts – and this at a time when he was unable to perform live gigs due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
