James Holland is an English historian, writer and broadcaster, specialising in the history of the Second World War. His recent best-selling works include ‘The War in the West’, ‘Big Week’ – the account of the air battles preceding D Day - and this year, ‘Normandy ’44 and the Liberation of Europe’. As well as writing and lecturing, Dr. Holland runs the Chalke Valley History Festival near Salisbury, an annual gathering for authors and social and military history enthusiasts.
James Holland will be giving the annual Viney Memorial Lecture for the Buckinghamshire Military Museum Trust on the 11th. October. He is calling his talk ‘A New Look at Normandy’.
