British writer and musician, Rob Alderton’s newly reworked Fast Food the Musical about the phenomenon of fast food (used as a backdrop to a journey of ambition, genius and downfall, with romance, humour and a candid history), will be produced by Vivo D’Arte at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre this autumn.
Despite the company bearing his name, Johnnie has no real power to influence decision-making, and Dan turns from visionary to ruthless profiteer, exploiting his workers and customers alike. Add a resentful, failed actor who plays GoodeBurgers’ mascot, Goodie the Bear, the two worst reporters in history, romance, comedy, and a potent mix of fact and fiction – and you’re in for an entertaining evening!
With twenty brand-new, and memorable songs by Rob Alderton (Ex West End and Cliff Richard keyboard player and member of the band, Sailor), the styles “travel” with the story (1950s to 1970s), ranging from rock ‘n’ roll and Jive, to powerful anthems, moving ballads and comedy numbers.
Aylesbury Waterside Theatre can be found in the heart of Aylesbury. The theatre has attracted international interest in the world of construction and boasts a dynamic programme of electrifying West End productions, unparalleled comedy and the best children’s shows. The multi-functional venue can accommodate conferences, meetings and live screenings.
