Dick Whittington

Pack up your knapsacks, lace up your boots and join us in Milton Keynes this festive season for another spectacular, traditional family pantomime from First Family Entertainment!

In the tale of Dick Whittington this year, Samantha Womack, Eastenders’ feisty Ronnie Mitchell, will be swarming the streets of London with her rodent friends as the evil Queen Rat, whilst Loose Women panellist, X Factor finalist and winner of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Stacey Solomon will be picking up her magic wand this Christmas as Fairy Bowbells, whilst back to tickle your funny bones is MK favourite Kev Orkian*.

Dick Whittington and his trusty cat Tommy arrive in London seeking their fortune, but find the streets aren’t really paved with gold. After meeting Alice Fitzwarren, a merchant’s daughter, and taking a job for her father, things are looking up. But the evil Queen Rat has other ideas! Will Dick Whittington find his fortune?

Will good conquer evil or will Queen Rat succeed in stopping the course of true love? Do paws beat claws?

*Kev Orkian will not be performing on Fri 9 Dec 7pm, Sat 10 Dec 7pm, Tue 13 Dec 1pm & Thu 15 Dec 1pm.

All areas of the Theatres are accessible to customers with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. The building features wide corridors and doors, and additional toilet facilities for disabled people. Two front of house lifts provide access to the circle and upper circle, with appropriate seating positions available on all levels. Similarly, a lift backstage provides access to all levels with mobility lifts cited at split-levels between front of house and backstage areas. Induction Loop Necklaces

Available for patrons already wearing a hearing enhancement aid. By putting the necklace around your neck and switching your hearing aid to the ‘T’ setting, the sound will be amplified.

Infra-red Headsets

We have infra-red Sennheiser sound amplification headsets which amplifies sound through earpieces similar to regular headphones. This is suitable for patrons without a hearing aid.

Both the induction loop necklaces and infra-red headsets are available from the theatre kiosk.

Box Office

We have a hearing loop at our box office counter and by switching your hearing aid to the ‘T’ setting, the sound will be amplified.

Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome at Milton Keynes Theatre and they can stay with you while you are in the Theatre. Alternatively a member of staff will care for your dog during the performance. We can also provide drinking water for your dog.

There are public toilet facilities on the ground, first and third floors of the foyer areas. There are separate, fully accessible, male and female facilities on the ground and first floors, and fully accessible facilities for both men and women on the third floor (by door 10).
