The star of pantomime in York for 40 years, Berwick's critically acclaimed performance as dame has solidified his reputation as a true York institution having delighted generations of festive theatregoers every year. Dick Turpin Rides Again reunites Berwick with his band of pantomime favourites, Martin Barrass, Suzy Cooper, AJ Powell and David Leonard in a production packed full of madcap comedy, spectacular song and dance, and a Wagon Wheel or two!

Monday to Saturday 12:00 until 16:00. Sundays: Closed.
On show days, service priority is given to 'today’s performance' sales and pre-paid collections. The box office remains open until 15 minutes after the start of the show. On Sundays or Bank Holidays we are open 1 hour before the start of the performance.
There are a range of bars to enjoy at the Grand Opera House at Stalls, Dress, Grand Circle levels as well as in the main Foyer.
Enjoy a VIP package for only £15 or a Grand package for £30 on top of your ticket price.

Not originally intended to be a theatre, the buildings that comprise the Grand Opera House York officially opened in 1902 with Little Red Riding Hood starring Florrie Ford. Since then it has been owned by FJ Butterworth, the Shepherd of Shambles and the India Pru Co. Ltd who spent £4,000,000 restoring the theatre to its former glory in 1987.
