Nina Raine’s critically-acclaimed ‘modern classic’ (The Times) Consent, makes a timely and triumphant transfer to the Harold Pinter Theatre for a strictly limited season.

What is justice, what is vengeance, and which is right? Friends take opposing briefs in a contentious legal case. The key witness is a woman whose life seems a world away from theirs. At home, their own lives begin to unravel as every version of the truth is challenged.

Directed by Roger Michell, Consent takes a searing look at the law whilst putting modern relationships into the dock in ‘a play you’ll be talking about for a long time to come’ (Radio Times).

★★★★★
'A Modern Classic... a hotly topical play with as much human life as we've seen on the West End stage for a long time'.
The Times

★★★★★
'Essential viewing. This is a play you’ll be talking about for a long time to come'.
Radio Times

★★★★
'Riveting account of imploding metropolitan lives. This piece couldn’t be more timely'.
The Telegraph

★★★★
'This bracingly clever, bleakly funny play offers no easy answers to any of its questions: what is justice, what is vengeance, and which is right?'.
The Guardian

★★★★
'A vivid, thoughtful and immensely resonant play'.
Financial Times

'Nina Raine’s brilliant... moral thriller... that’s won new relevance in the #MeToo era'.

Autistic Spectrum and those with Sensory and Communication difficulties

The Ambassador Theatre group know that communication is key.

We want all our patrons to have a good experience while in our theatres, so we now have a visual tool for parents and companions to use with children and adults on the autistic spectrum and/or with Sensory and Communication difficulties.

We have been researching the benefits of using visual stories and would like to offer a visual story for your visit to The Harold Pinter Theatre. We know some of our patrons find social situations difficult and we understand that we are all unique.

We are currently experiencing intermittent problems with our hearing enhancement system, please contact the venue directly ahead of your visit, or arrive at least 30 minutes prior to curtain.
