Circus of Horrors is touring throughout the world with a brand new show, featuring unbelievable sword swallowers, hairculian women swinging around the auditorium from her hair, demon dwarfs, strong man, whirlwind acrobats, flaming limbo, sensational sinister aerialists, knife throwing, cross & long bow wielding Bond like Diva's, twisted contortion & lots, lots more in this rock & roller coaster of a show that is now celebrating 24 years on the road, and all performed to a live rock soundscape

In addition to the 100 theatre's the Circus of Horrors performs in each year it also appears in Festivals throughout the World including Download, Reading, Leeds, Isle of White, T in the Park etc in the UK,  Fuji Rock Festival in Japan (twice), Wacken festival in Germany plus shows in Chile, Uruguay, Holland, Belgium, Argentina, France, Italy, Ireland, Finland, Hong Kong and Moscow where it created history by becoming  the 1st UK Circus ever to perform in Russia. And an astounding 10 nights in London's O2.                   

It is not the 1st time however that The Circus of Horrors has created history, it became the only circus ever to reach the finals of Britons Got Talent and the 1st Circus to perform in London's West End for over 100 years, & the only Circus to perform in a single venue in London (The Roundhouse) for an astounding 24 weeks, (previous record was 17 weeks).

In addition to BGT our appearances on various other TV shows have turned what set out as a cult show into a household name, without compromise – taking the extreme to the mainstream, Its TV credits now also boast The X Factor, The Slammer, Daybreak, Fairground Attractions, Who wants to be a Millionaire, Body Shockers, Fake Reaction, This Morning, Ant & Dec, The One Show  & A Royal Command Performance.

The Circus of Horrors started it’s gruesome begging's at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival and became an instant hit, touring all over the world from Chile to Chatham, Argentina to Aberdeen, Japan to Jersey including festival appearances with Alice Cooper, Eminem, Motley Crue, Oasis, Iron Maiden, The Manic St Preachers, Foo Fighters, Rammstien, Guns & Roses, Marilyn Manson, Ozzy Osbourne and many more.

Venue Access Information

There are 4 wheelchair spaces for customers who have to remain in their wheelchairs throughout the performance. There are also carer seats located either next to, or directly in front or behind the wheelchair space.

There are 6 steps up, with handrails, to the main entrance, then swing doors into the foyer. A ramp is situated to the far right of the doors near to the entrance to Breezes. Two sets of double doors give access to the rear of the stalls, which slopes down (no stairs) to the front row. There is a lift, or a flight of 22 steps, from the foyer to the circle bar. From the bar there are two entrances to the circle, both with double swing doors and 11 steps to a centre gangway, from which there are 6 steps down to the front row and 5 steps up to the back row.

Access Parking spaces now has a dropped curb in close proximity to the Theatre for easy accessible access

There is also a Café/Bar/Bistro linked to the theatre, which is fully accessible to the disabled and wheelchair users.

The box office is situated on the road side of the building with two flat entrances with heavy swing doors, automatic opening doors are situated to the left of the box office operated by pressing the red button on the wall the counter is 90 cms high, with a writing shelf situated in the middle of the 2 sales counters, The rows with better leg room in the stalls are the front row, V36/42, all side gangway seats and Circle row G.

We have an Infra-red hearing system installed, please ask for a headset at the sweet kiosk in the foyer (Available for a refundable £5 deposit).

Guide, hearing and other working dogs are welcome in all parts of the theatre.

Fully accessible toilets are located from the stalls wheelchair spaces through the fire exit, also from the main foyer through the double swing doors through to the Café-Bar.

  • Our café-bar Breezes is open throughout the day and into the evening on performance nights and serves everything from a warming coffee and home-made cake on a cold winter’s morning to a full three course meal, or a cool glass of wine in the evening sunshine before heading into the show. We also have a function room with stunning views overlooking Torbay and Torquay Marina and have a selection of party catering packages available. We are located on Torbay Road in Torquay. Postal Code TQ2 5EZ There is ample parking nearby in either the Sheddon Hill or Fleet Walk car parks plus limited parking available on the road.

By Train:

Torquay train station is located just along the seafront, about a 20 minute walk away from the Theatre. For more information and train times please check National Rail.

By Bus:

There are bus stops located on Torbay road, approximately 3 minutes walk from the theatre. For more information on Bus Times please check First Group or Stagecoach.
