Wonderful introduction to ballet with My First Cinderella
English National Ballet present My First Cinderella, a beautifully adapted version for young audiences from Saturday 13 & Sun 14 April. Especially created for the whole family, My First Cinderella tells everyone’s favourite rags-to-riches story.
Cinderella is tormented by her spiteful stepsisters and longs to attend the Prince’s glamorous ball. Abandoned to an evening of drudgery, Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother appears and transforms her into a glittering Princess who shall go to the ball.
Prokofiev's ravishing score is accompanied with narration to ensure everyone enjoys this classic fairy tale and the ballet is choreographed by George Williamson, English National Ballet’s Associate Artist and graduate of English National Ballet School.
The My First series brings young audiences their first taste of ballet through the magic of fairytales, captivating music and beautiful dance. ENB2 features graduating dancers of outstanding potential from English National Ballet School in performances produced by English National Ballet.
Children are welcome to dress up as a ballerina, the Fairy Godmother or a prince and audiences are encouraged to clap and cheer, boo the stepsisters, laugh and even try some ballet moves for themselves.
For everyone aged 3+ and with a shorter running time perfect for tiny tots, this is a wonderful chance to introduce your ballerina’s and princes to the wonderful world of ballet and theatre this April.
