New Theatre Oxford is now recruiting for Front of House Sales Staff

We currently have a number of vacancies in our Front of House team. Our sales staff are the welcoming face of the theatre and we are looking for individuals who are dedicated to high levels of customer service and have a genuine interest in theatre.
Our Front of House team assist in the running of all public facing areas of the building, from driving sales on our theatre bars or kiosks, to monitoring the safety and wellbeing of our audience, whilst at the same time maximising sales of ice creams and programmes.
The New Theatre is situated in the beautiful and historic City of Oxford on a site used for theatrical entertainment for almost 170 years. With a capacity of 1785, the theatre plays host to leading opera and ballet companies, contemporary dance, West End musicals and sell-out pop and rock concerts.
As we approach 2014, the New Theatre sees a packed schedule of entertainment: The Mousetrap , Welsh National Opera , English National Ballet , West Side Story, Cab aret, Ghost, Shrek the Musical, Scouting for Girl s, Deacon Blue, Russell Brand, Ed Byrne – you will be joining our team all working towards some of the most exciting tour dates in the country.
We are inviting people to our open recruitment day who meet the following criteria:
- You are aged of 18 or over.
- You have the availability to work between 3 - 8 shows per week including a mixture of daytime and evening shifts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
- Be available to work regular hours during the festive period.
- You must be legally eligible to work and reside in the UK.
Ideally you will have previous customer service experience and the ability to work predominantly behind one of our theatre bars serving alcohol, soft drinks and confectionary items.
Our open day will be held on Tuesday 29 October from 6pm onwards at New Theatre Oxford (last registration - 7pm)
