The Agatha Christie Theatre Company presents Murder on the Nile at the New Wimbledon Theatre

Now in its seventh thrilling year, The Agatha Christie Theatre Company presents a stylish new production of the queen of crime’s classic thriller Murder on the Nile, which will tour the UK with an all star cast in 2012 and appearing at New Wimbledon Theatre from Monday 2 April – Saturday 7 April.
Murder on the Nile stars Kate O'Mara, prolific stage actress and star of television hits including Dynasty and Bad Girls, Denis Lill, whose extensive TV career most recently includes ITV’s hit drama The Royal and Doctor Who, Susie Amy, star of 71 Degrees North and Footballers’ Wives, Chloe Newsome Coronation Street’s Vicky McDonald, Ben Nealon, fondly remembered as Capt Jeremy Forsythe from the long running ITV drama Soldier Soldier and 60s pop idol, Mark Wynter.
On board a steamer, cruising under the scorching Egyptian sun, honeymooners Simon Mostyn and his wealthy socialite wife Kay find themselves being pursued by an old flame of the newly wedded groom. Tragedy strikes and a body is discovered, all fingers point to Simon’s ex fiancée. However, everything is not what it seems and holidaying cleric Canon Pennefather is drawn into a web of intrigue and deceit as he finds himself on the trail of a ruthless murderer.
Agatha Christie’s stage adaptation of the novel Death on the Nile was first performed in 1944 under the title Hidden Horizon; it later opened in the West End and on Broadway as Murder on the Nile in 1946.
Murder on the Nile follows the hugely successful; Witness For The Prosecution, And Then There Were None, The Unexpected Guest, The Hollow, Verdict, and Spider’s Web. This latest instalment from The Agatha Christie Theatre Company directed by Joe Harmston promises a host of colourful characters and all the twists and turns of a classic Christie to keep you guessing to the final shattering climax.
