Liverpool Empire - I Dreamed a Dream Traffic & Travel Information
Approved by ATG's PR & Communications Officer, David Bradbury
The Liverpool Empire Theatre is thrilled that the Sea Odyssey will be passing the venue down Lime Street on 20 and 21 of April.
If you are coming to see I Dreamed a Dream – The Susan Boyle Musical on either Friday evening or Saturday Matinee please bear in mind the following important information:
Friday 20 April
Between 4:45pm and 7pm Lime Street will be closed and access to Liverpool city centre from the London Road side of the city will be restricted during these times. There will be no access to Lime Street during this time meaning that there will be no vehicle access outside of the theatre. Between these times the Box Office and Foyer Doors are only accessible by foot.
After 7pm there should not be a disruption but please note that the surrounding area will be very busy with spectators so please leave plenty of time to travel from public transport or your car park.
Saturday 21 April
Between 1:30pm and 6pm Lime Street will be closed and access to Liverpool city centre from the London Road side of the city will be restricted during these times. There will be no access to Lime Street meaning that there will be no vehicle access outside of the theatre. Between these times the Box Office and Foyer Doors are only accessible by foot.
From information that we have at this time, the local car parks; Odeon Car Park, NCP Lord Nelson Street, and Liner Hotel Car Park should not to be affected by the road closures and will remain open but access to these from the London Road end of the city will be restricted when Lime Street is closed. Therefore please leave plenty of time to park your car and walk to the theatre. Please check with the car parks before you travel for up to date information.
Q-Park at Liverpool ONE is offering a reduced day rate of £8 in the Q-Park Liverpool ONE car park during the Sea Odyssey event (20 – 22 April). This special rate is only available through Q-Park’s online booking system and must be booked before the event.
Public transport is not affected although the bus stops on Lime Street will not be operational during this time. For more information on Merseytravel during Sea Odyssey click here.
