English National Ballet's Dance for Parkinson's in Liverpool

Approved by ATG's PR & Communications Officer, David Bradbury

English National Ballet has teamed up with Merseyside Dance Initiative (MDI) in Liverpool to bring its national Dance for Parkinson’s programme to the city in 2014.

'We have all enjoyed the exercise, music, meeting others, having fun - it all ticks the ‘feeling good’ box.'

Classes start on Thursday 23 January, 14.00 - 15.30 and run weekly until Thursday 17 April with a break for half term on 20 February 2014.

Dance for Parkinson’s classes are a fun way to meet new friends, whilst discovering the themes, choreography and music from English National Ballet’s repertoire. Carers, friends or family members are welcome to join in the sessions too. There are also opportunities to attend special behind-the-scenes events and to see the Company perform Le Corsaire at Manchester Palace Theatre in February.

Classes are £3.50 per person, per session, £38.50 for the term.

Contact MDI for a booking form or for more information email info@mdi.org.uk or call 0151 708 8810.

'It has encouraged us to try something new, exercise our bodies and minds. I know more about ballet now, and to forget I have Parkinson’s for a couple of hours a week has been a most positive experience too.'
