Ashleigh and Pudsey were in 00 Heaven!

With only a matter of weeks before the panto season begins at the New Victoria Theatre, our wonderful stars of Dick Whittington, Ashleigh & Pudsey shone at The Royal Variety Performance on Monday which celebrated its 100th anniversary. The talented duo performed a James Bond inspired dance routine in honour of 50 years of the classic spy films.

The pawfect pair were in great company on the evening with the very best of British talent performing including Katherine Jenkins, Neil Diamond, Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Kylie Minogue, One Direction and Girls Aloud. Host David Williams and comedian Alan Carr even dressed up as the Britain Got Talent winners to introduce them before they on went to meet Her Majesty the Queen after the show.

Now it is straight into rehearsals for their next performance at the New Victoria Theatre as preparations are in full swing for what promises to be a fantastic production featuring all the traditional pantomime ingredients; sensational songs, a live band, magic, dazzling dance routines, magnificent slapstick comedy and bags of audience participation.

The twosome will be making their theatrical debut as Alice Fitzwarren and her canine chum. Joining them is TV presenter, magician and all round entertainer, Stephen Mulhern as Idle Jack, panto favourite Eric Potts, who will be donning his glad rags as Sarah the Cook and West End star Michael Pickering as our adventurous hero Dick Whittington.

The Royal Variety Performance will be broadcast on December 3 at 7.30pm on ITV1.

Dick Whittington opens on Friday 7 December 2012 and runs to Sun 6 January 2013.
