Girl's Opening Night brings stars, rave reviews and a show-stopping performance
to the Savoy
Last night at The Savoy Theatre saw the opening night of Sheridan Smith in Funny Girl, since transferring from its sold-out run at The Menier Chocolate Factory to a dazzling response from Press and audience.
Many tributes were also paid to comedy icon Victoria Wood, who died yesterday, aged 62.
Sheridan said Victoria played to her strengths and had everything I love about women and I grew up with women like that who were so strong and funny, and Fanny Brice was one of the first, [STANDARD].
