Meet the Cast The Bristol Hippodrome Panto Family

When a cast of actors come together for a show you quite often hear them say that they become like a family. Well this year we literally do have a family in Snow White with Warwick Davis daughter Annabelle playing Snoozy, Warwick's father in law Peter playing Grumbly and Warwick's sister in law Hayley playing Blusher. Come and let us introduce you to the actors playing our 7 Dwarfs this year at The Bristol Hippodrome in Snow White. 


Warwick Davis - Prof

Warwick's acting career came about purely by chance. Back in 1981 his Grandmother heard a radio announcement calling for short people to appear in the new Star Wars film Return of the Jedi. He played the tiny Ewok, Wicket

In 1985, Warwick appeared alongside David Bowie in the fantasy film, Labyrinth.

In 1987, Warwick was called to Elstree Studios in London for a meeting with Ron Howard and George Lucas. They discussed a new project called Willow, written specifically with Warwick in mind.

He was cast in two series of the BBC television classic, The Chronicles of Narnia

In 1995, Warwick appeared as Grildrig in Gulliver's Travels.

In 1997, George Lucas invited Warwick to return to that famous galaxy far, far away for Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.

In 2001, Warwick joined the faculty of that most famous school for Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hogwarts. Warwick plays Professor Flitwick , the Goblin Bank Teller and Griphook in all eight Harry Potter films, one of the most successful film series of all time!

Ricky Gervais wrote an episode of his hit comedy Extras to feature Warwick and fellow Harry Potter cast member Daniel Radcliffe.

In 2011, he starred in BBC comedy series Life's Too Short.

2012 saw Warwick travel the globe in the hugely popular, An Idiot Abroad 3 with Karl Pilkington.

Warwick recently appeared in another classic sci-fi universe, Dr Who. Nightmare in Silver

In 2013, Warwick made his West End debut in Spamalot, starring as Patsy.

Warwick and his family embarked on another tour of the UK in their VW

campervan for a second series of their travel show for ITV, Weekend Escapes. Warwick is a game show host for  Celebrity Squares.

He was also thrilled to be asked to once again return to that galaxy far,

far away for Star Wars - Episode VII.


Annabelle Davis - Snoozy

Annabelle's debut stage performance was at The Manchester Opera House in 2005. She was 9 years old at the time and won the hearts and praise of the audience and reviewers alike.

Now 17, Annabelle is studying for A-Levels in Media, Textiles, Art and IT at Sawtry Community College. Annabelle is also a writer and director

Annabelle's past acting work has not just been in theatre, she appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 as a goblin in Gringotts Bank.

In 2013, Annabelle appeared in another blockbuster movie, Jack the Giant Slayer.

She landed a role in the much anticipated Star Wars - Episode VII and is a new character in the BAFTA award winning CBBC drama, The Dumping Ground which will air later in 2015. She also embarked on another trip around the UK with her family for a second series of Weekend Escapes with Warwick Davis.


Peter Burroughs - Grumbly

Peter started his career at the London Palladium in the Man in the Moon. Other theatre work includes Aida at the London Coliseum, Mahogany Songs with the English Opera Company, and being an experienced ice skater he also appeared in Tom Arnold's Ice Show and Holiday on Ice.

His numerous television credits include The Legend of King Arthur, The Talisman, Dr. Who, Dick Turpin, Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew,  The Merchant of Venice, Jack the Ripper,  The Chronicles of Narnia,  One Foot in the Grave, Life's Too Short, Casualty and Jim Davidson's Generation Game.

Peter has also been seen in the films Labyrinth, Star Wars - Return of the Jedi, Willow,  Dark Crystal,  Flash Gordon, The Tenth Kingdom and  Harry Potter playing a Goblin in the very last Harry Potter film.  He has also appeared in several commercials including Nestle Toffee Crisp.

In 1999 he appeared as the Milk Carton in Blur's video Coffee & TV , which delighted him as it won the Best Video Award!


Hayley Burroughs - Blusher

Hayley made her acting debut when she was just seven years old when she appeared as a Newlyn Villager in the epic fantasy Willow, and in a film role playing a lady-in-waiting to Queen Elizabeth alongside Sir Richard Attenborough in Elizabeth.  She played the crazy Bizza Bopkin in three series of the popular children's ITV series Jamboree with Floella Benjamin , appeared on The Priory with Zoe Ball and Jamie Theakston and also Banzai and Teachers both for Channel 4.  Most recently Hayley appeared in BBC's Lifes Too Short.

Hayley appeared on the Vanessa Feltz Show and The Ovitz Family, a documentary based on a family of dwarf musicians during the 2nd World War and enjoyed performing in the Weetabix advert.

Hayley played Corkscrew Charlie in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in 2005 and appeared in Freaky for Channel 4.

Hayley appeared in the film Elizabeth The Golden Age starring Cate Blanchett and more recently has just finished filming Harry Potter - The Deathly Hallows, which is the very last in the series.

This is Hayley's nineteenth pantomime.


Danny Blackner - Loopy

Danny became an equestrian performer in the circus at the age of 17, which lead him into fringe and comedy theatre, including regular appearances at the Edinburgh Festival.

His first experience of film was as an Ewok in Star Wars - Return of The Jedi, and between 1982 and 1997 he performed in numerous movies such as The Labyrinth, The Witches, The Muppets - Treasure Island and Princess Bride.

Danny also had the opportunity to work in television with John Hurt, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders in the Storyteller series as well as roles in Chronicles of Narnia, One Foot in The Grave and Boon. Taking part in music videos by Queen (It's a Kind of Magic) and Duran Duran (Arena) were also great experiences.  

Danny fulfilled creature roles in the hit film Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and numerous one-off shows for The Carnival of the Bizarre and also had the opportunity to perform in two shows with Canon and Ball on stage.  He can be seen driving the Volkswagen in the Channel Five film sponsorship commercial  Snow White spoof.  The last few years has been typically busy for Danny, during which he has performed in eight tours of The Circus of Horrors as Captain Dan

A veteran of twenty-nine performances of Snow White, Danny is looking forward to appearing in Bristol this Christmas.


Dean Whatton - Sniffley

Dean started his theatrical career in 2002 at Derby Playhouse playing the part of a Pimp in Pericles.  He has performed in many plays including Puck in an adaptation of a Midsummer Nights Dream - Dream On, Prince Osimo in The Life of Galileo and Viking Tales to name but a few.

On television Dean has appeared in BBC's Dick and Dom and as Paul in Little Britain - series two and series three, and also for Maverick television. He appeared in the pilot of I Spasticus and has appeared on the Paul O'Grady Show.

Dean appeared in the Gringott's Bank scene on the very last Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2.

He appeared in Ricky Gervais' comedy Life's too Short in 2011 and in 2013 Season 4 of Game of Thrones

Dean has toured with Northern Broadsides Theatre Company in an adaptation of Shakespeare's Loves Labour's Lost playing the part of Moth in 2011.

He appeared in the 2012 film Snow White and the Huntsman.

Dean toured with comedian John Bishop on his 2012 Rollercoaster Tour, and has also appeared with John Bishop in Baby Cow's production of Panto for ITV playing the role of Greg Chip.

In 2013 Dean played Tom Thumb in An Bronntanas a contemporary thriller shown as a mini-series on TG4 and featured as the closing film in this year's Galway Film Fleadh


Pete Bonner - Cheeky

Pete performed with the Holiday On Ice Company, touring around Europe in 1987-88. He also toured around Belgium, Holland and France in the musical Snow White.

 He has appeared in two operas, Der Rosenkavalier, performed at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and at the Hong Kong Arts Festival; and Death In Venice,  which opened in Glyndebourne then toured around the UK. 

Pete's television credits include Casualty, Ricky Gervais Show,Psychoville, Home for the Holidays & as Little Pete in Life's Too Short

He has been particularly active in a variety of television commercials including E4 Channel inserts for Glee, Kelloggs, Ginsters, Ariston, The Range and Sainsburys

Pete has appeared in a wide range of films from fantasy to horror! His first role was as stunt double for the title character in the film Willow in 1988, which took him to New Zealand. He  has appeared as a goblin in Gringott's Bank  in both the first and last Harry Potter movies. Other movies include Tenth Kingdom, Jack the Giant Killer and for Sky TV, Da Vinci's Demons

He had a featured role in the Warner Brothers movie Fred Claus, alongside Vince Vaughn and Miranda Richardson. In Zombie Women of Satan he played Zeus and co starred as Odkin in the film Dazzle.

Last year he came into the 21st Century playing the part of Thogan Willowshield in Dwarves Assemble broadcast on the Multiverse YouTube Channel.
