Theatre work includes the titular role of Wooster in Jeeves and Wooster at The Duke of York Theatre in The West End, the world premiere of Raving at The Hampstead Theatre, and Neil LaBute’s Fat Pig at the Trafalgar Studios. Film work includes The Wedding Video, Magicians and Confetti. Television work include the multi award winning Peep Show (8 Series) which has won two BAFTA’s , a Rose d'Or, and a British Comedy Award amongst others. That Mitchell and Webb Look (4 series) also won a BAFTA for Best Comedy Program. The Bleak Old Shop Of Stuff, Miss Marple – A Carribean Mystery, Fresh Meat (2 series), Threesome and The Smoking Room. Robert also filmed a documentary My Life In Verse which focused on the works of T S Elliot. Robert has appeared on various panel shows including Have I Got News for You, QI, Would I Lie to You, Nevermind the Buzzcocks and Celebrity Mastermind. In 2009 Robert won Let’s Dance for Comic Relief, for his rendition of Jennifer Beal’s iconic scene in Flash Dance. Robert has also been a columnist for The Telegraph and is a regular contributor to The New Statesman. He was most recently seen on screens in the 3 x 1hr comedy-drama entitled Ambassadors for BBC 2.
