Making his professional stage debut at 17 in the pantomime Aladdin, Paul Burnham then spent a season as a Redcoat at Butlin's before taking up the offer of a scholarship at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting.
Leaving Guildford he took the offer of his first summer season and went to Minehead with Smart Alec Productions who then cast him in the 1940’s National Tour of Pack Up Your Troubles' This was to be the first of many principal roles in National Tours, including; The Magic of the Musicals, 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll Experience and Irving Berlin’s Everybody's Doing It.
Creating the role of Henri in the Sadler's Wells Theatre production of Viva O'Carnival, Paul then went on to play The Beast in the National Tour of Beauty and the Beast'. Not only an accomplished musical theatre performer, he has also appeared with the prestigious Opera West Company in their productions of Carmen, Eugene Onegin and Nabucco, and has narrated the notoriously difficult Facade with the London Symphony Orchestra. . Paul spent 3 years in the West End production and national tour of the musical Grease in which he played, Teen Angel and Vince Fontaine culminating in a tour of Japan.Read Less
