Nareh Arghamanyan is an Armenian pianist who trained at – and was the youngest student to be admitted to – the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Best known for winning the 2008 Montreal International Musical Competition, she has played to great critical acclaim in performances that include La Scena Musicale.
During the 2009-10 season, she made her debut in New York, and has had a number of other international engagements, with recitals in Miami, Detroit, Minneapolis, Kansas City, San Juan and Fresno. She has appeared with a number of prestigious orchestras, including the Mont Blanc Symphony France, Moscow Chamber Orchestra, the Armenian Philharmonic, and the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia. She has also played at a number of international festivals.
Arghamanyan had an impressive number of awards under her belt before she won the Montreal crowning glory.
