Michael Praed is a stage and screen performer who made his main professional debut in Dublin Theatre back in 1991, as Billy Bigelow in Carousel. Since, he has appeared in Aspects of Love, The Caretaker and Design for Living. More recently, he appeared in The Constant Wife and Contact, both in 2003. In 2004 he performed in The King’s Head in Three on a Couch, and in Craig Revel Horwood’s Beautiful and Damned at the Lyric Theatre. In 2006 he returned to the King’s Head as Paul Sheldon in Misery before playing Tom Madison on the UK Tour of Killing Castro. In 2008 he went with Sleuth and An Ideal Husband on their UK Tours. 2009 saw him return again to the King’s Head, with Randall Kelly in The Murder Game, and in 2010 he toured as Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music.
Television credits include Writers Block, Riders, Crown Prosecutor, Darkness Fall, The Adventures of Jules Verne and the part of Chris Meredith on Casualty in 2002. Film parts include productions such as Night Flyers, Son of Darkness, Staggered, Dangerous Obsession and Nine Dead Gay Guys in 2001.Read Less
