Leo Staar gained a degree in acting from Guildford School of Acting, after studying there between 2007 and 2009. As well as two 2012 performances on television shows Dancing On The Edge (BBC) and Dark Matters 2 (Discovery Channels), since graduating he has made several prestigious stage appearances. In 2009, with the Cambridge Shakespeare Company he played Ferdinand in The Tempest and Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, as well as the part of Mr Wickham in Theatre Royal Bath’s Pride and Prejudice. Impressively, in 2010, only a year after graduating, he played the part of Cornelius and the Priest in Nicholas Hytner’s National Theatre production of Hamlet, and had a role in Thea Sharrock’s After the Dance, also performed at the National. In 2011, he appeared in Josie Rourke’s production of Much Ado About Nothing, which performed in the West End’s Wyndhams Theatre. In 2012, he continues his startling success with the lead part of Roly Ryan in Lily Bevan’s Celebrity Night at Cafe Red, performed at the West End’s Trafalgar Studios.Read Less
