Kathy Stott is a British musician and pianist. She studied at the the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal College of Music, and won a prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition in 1978. She is currently a visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
She has played with many of the world’s leading instrumentalists, has appeared on major international concert platforms, is associated with a number of orchestras and is a favoured partner of many distinguished chamber musicians. Her performances have taken her around the world, tours including visits to Europe, South America, the Far East and the USA.
Stott has also directed several distinctive concert series and festivals and has many recordings to her name. After programming Piano 2000 and Piano 2003 at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, she was appointed Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French Government, Artistic Director of the Manchester Chamber Concerts Society, and was Guest Artistic Director of the chamber festival Incontri in Terra di Siena between 2010 and 2011.Read Less
