Julie Atherton is a stage and screen actress. From playing Fern in Charlotte’s Web at the Polka Theatre, she has gone on to play Sophie in Mamma Mia! at the West End’s Prince Edward Theatre in the production directed by Phyllida Lloyd. She has been cast in Notes from New York at the Donmar Warehouse, and in Little by Little at the Arts Theatre, as well as in Out of this World and Just So at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Back at the West End, she has played in Notes From New York, Fame, Christmas in New York, Avenue Q, and Notes in Heels. She played Lucy in the Night of 1000 Voices at the Royal Albert Hall, the part of Debs in Ordinary Days at the Finborough Theatre, and most recently appeared as Sister Mary Robert on the tour of Sister Act the Musical.
In television, she has got parts in Sky 1’s Brainiacs, on Channel 4’s Paul O Grady Show, ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, Challenge Anneka and Royal Variety Performance, and BBC’s Children in Need.Read Less
