Jodie Prenger began her career performing in Blackpool, appearing at the Opera House and Grand Theatre. She made her TV debut as the winner of the second series of Living’s The Biggest Loser in 2006, appearing on the Paul O’Grady show shortly afterwards. After appearing in the ensemble in Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre, she shot to fame as the winner of I’d Do Anything in 2008, landing the part of Nancy in Cameron Mackintosh’s revival of the British musical Olver! During the show, she was praised by Anderw Lloyd Webber for her ‘outsize talent and very strong voice’.
In 2009 she won the Theatregoers’ Choice Whatsonstage Award for Best Supporting Actress. She then went on to play The Lady of The Lake in the Spamalot UK tour and most recently played Dolly in the National Theatre's production of One Man Two Guvnors at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
TV projects include Wizards vs Aliens, Hustle, Candy Cabs and Waterloo Road for BBC 1.Jodie has had her own regular slot on ITV1's This Morning. Prior to this she was a guest on ITV2's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here NOW! Jodie led the search to find a Toto for a gala performance of The Wizard of Oz through BBC1’s Over The Rainbow and she was a regular presenter of The Midweek National Lottery.Read Less
